In addition to our regular readings, we have a number of exciting events planned for the current year. All our events and activities are open to the public. Translation Week 2020

30/03 – 03/04/2020

This year’s translation week will include a full-day translation workshop in partnership with XTM, where students will have the opportunity to experience a ‘mock’ day as professional translators and project managers exploring the possibilities offered by cloud-based CAT tools.

Along with this, we will have a videogame translation workshop, as well as two seminars on Translation in the Multilingual Workplace and the Translation and Reception of Crime Fiction from a Minority Culture.

Translation in Language Teaching: National Forum for Teaching and Learning

Project DaRT is pleased to announce that we have received funding from the National Forum for Teaching and Learning to host an event in the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at UCC focusing on the role of translation in Language Teaching.
