On Friday 26th September 2018, Project DaRT joined the thousands of researchers all over the world who took part in the European Researcher’s Night to celebrate the contributions that research makes to society and share them with the public.

Project DaRT was invited by colleagues in the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures to participate in the many interactive events organised across multiple venues in Cork City as part of the Cork Discovers initiative.

We encouraged our visitors to think about how translation is present in their daily lives, and how it can highlight both the differences and similarities that manifest through languages and cultures. We were delighted to receive many people of all ages, and discuss translation and multilingualism with them.
