Podcast #5: Venuti’s Scandals of Translation

This week’s text under discussion was Venuti’s The Scandals of Translation. As this is a whole work we decided to focus particularly on the chapters relating to Authorship, Copyright and Globalisation.

The discussion was very fruitful leading to our coining of the term ‘translatorship’ and discussing briefly what that might constitute and what protections that might afford a translator.

We hope that you enjoy this and find it useful.
